Turns out, playing with Legos and reading comic books might not be such a bad idea. Corey Favor moved from New York City to Columbus, Ohio to follow his dream and turn his love for art into an actual career. A graduate of Columbus College of Art & Design, Corey started his very own design firm, Milkcrate Concepts, quickly after graduation and continued to operate his business successfully for over three years. Corey continued to expand his business acumen and hone his design skills by working as a Graphic designer with Who’s Who Publishing Company, Radio One and The Ohio State University, Athletic Department.
Currently, Corey is a Senior Graphic Designer at The Ohio State University in the University Marketing Department. He is also the co-founder of Creative Control Fest (CCF), a conference designed to bring together a diverse group of creatives to highlight and celebrate minorities in design and other creative fields.
Corey also serves as a board member with The Create Columbus Commission, a board of young professionals, appointed and funded by the Mayor and City Council President to serve as the community’s foremost thought leader on young professional interests, experiences, and priorities.
